Atlantic Station Announces Holiday 2015 Event Details

Ice Skating Rink & Snow Shows Open Nov. 21st

Atlantic Station is bringing back Atlanta’s favorite line-up of family-friendly holiday activities this year beginning Nov. 21. Kids and grown-ups alike can get in the spirit with ice skating, snow shows, holiday shopping, meet-and-greets with Santa and the annual tree lighting.

Tree Lighting
From 1 p.m. to 9 p.m. on Nov. 21, Atlantic Station invites all to welcome the holiday season with live music, entertainment and children’s activities. The Holiday Parade kicks off at 7:30 p.m., followed by Santa’s arrival in Central Park where he will light the giant Christmas tree and create a magical snowfall followed by fireworks.
 
Snow Shows
Starting Nov. 21, guests can take a snowy walk through Central Park during Snow Shows. Everyone’s favorite holiday music will bring the snowfall to life each Sunday through Thursday at 7 p.m., Fridays and Saturdays at 6 p.m., 7 p.m., 8 p.m. and 9 p.m.
 
Skate Atlantic Station
Skate Atlantic Station invites visitors to lace up and take the first lap around the 10,000-square-foot ice rink decked out in dazzling lights on Nov. 21. The skating rink will be open daily through Feb. 14. General admission is $13 and children under 12, seniors, military and college students can get in for $10. Hours are below.

o   Monday through Thursday:  4 p.m. to 10 p.m.
o   Friday and Saturday:  3 p.m. to 11 p.m.
o   Sunday: 3 p.m. to 9 p.m.
 
Santa’s Cottage
Bring the family to Atlantic Station for special photos with Saint Nick beginning Nov. 21 at noon. For hours, visit Concierge or atlanticstation.com. Furry friends are invited to take photos with Santa on special pet nights: Dec. 6, 13 and 20 from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. And, Santa will host a special Santa Cares event on Sunday, Dec. 6 from 10 a.m. to noon for families with special needs children to meet Santa in a controlled and welcoming environment – no fountains, no music, no lines. Snowball Express
Kids of all ages will enjoy this special holiday train ride throughout the streets of Atlantic Station beginning Nov. 27. Board the Snowball Express Monday through Friday from 3 p.m. to 9 p.m., Saturday from noon to 9 p.m. and Sunday from 1 p.m. to 8 p.m. Visit atlanticstation.com for special days to ride in Santa’s Sleigh.
 
Complimentary Gift Wrapping
Do your gift shopping on Dec. 12, 13, 19 and 20 from noon to 6 p.m. and enjoy complimentary gift-wrapping at Atlantic Station.
 
Black Friday
Black Friday shopping doesn’t have to be unpleasant. Come and shop ‘til you drop on Nov. 27 at Atlantic Station, where fabulous retailers like Dillard’s, H&M, American Apparel and Athleta will offer holiday deals. With more than 7,500 parking spaces, there is room for everyone! After you’ve filled your arms with shopping bags, wind down with a coffee at Land of a Thousand Hills, a cocktail at Rosa Mexicano and more! Small Business Saturday and Georgia Tech Tailgate
Finish up holiday shopping on Nov. 28 on Small Business Saturday with local favorites: Festivity, Fab’rik, Kinnucan’s and Kilwin’s. Then, relax and tailgate with friends and family on East District to watch the Georgia vs. Georgia Tech game on the outdoor jumbotron.
