We did have a wonderful trip to Jekyll Island last week. It was our first visit, and I truly loved the place. It's just SO peaceful! Jekyll is truly unlike any other beach/ island I've ever been to before. Many thanks to the Holiday Inn Resort Jekyll Island for hosting us for a couple of nights and making it extra special. We WILL be back! Stay tuned and in the next couple of weeks I'll do a full recap and review of our trip. I figure once school gets going, everyone is going to start thinking about that September break! Jekyll Island is defnitely a place I'd LOVE to visit in the fall. When then weather cools down a bit, it will be a much better time of year for riding bikes, playing golf, touring the beautiful historic sites, etc.
The photo above is from Driftwood Beach at the far end of the island. Such an amazing place. And here's a collage of photos taken at the resort. Goodbye summer break. I hate to see you go. (I can hardly say goodbye summer in this heat, however!)

Next week we plan to squeeze in as many fun activities as possible, so the edition might be a little short. Starting early August however, BMB Macaroni Kid will be back full force.
