Haunted Halloween at Atlanta History Center - Oct. 20 from 6:30 to 10:30pm. Be prepared for thrills and chills as you walk through the Atlanta History Center’s foggy gardens and haunted historic houses! Step onto the page as fairy tales, Victorian literature, fables, and nursery rhymes take on a new twist. Scare factors help you determine which trails and historic houses are the adventure you are seeking. This year, you are invited to a whimsical and wacky Mad Hatter Tea Party as you kick off your night of fancy and fright.
Cost: $15 for members; $20 for nonmembers; $10 for children.

Atlanta Botanical Garden - Goblins at the Garden. Oct. 22 from 10am to 4pm. Show off the kids’ Halloween costumes on the Goblin Runway, participate in fall-themed crafts, enjoy a storyteller and ride a pony or a train. There’s even a cash bar for adult goblins.

Little Five Points Halloween Festival and Parade - Oct. 21 from 12pm to 11pm
The 17th Annual Little 5 Points Halloween Festival is scheduled for Saturday, October 21st, 2017 The southeast's premiere Halloween parade and festival.

Scare on the Square at Colony Square - Oct. 26 from 4pm to 5:30pm

Midtown’s Colony Square invites the community to wear their favorite costumes and stop by Colony Square for a spooky Halloween soirée, Scare on The Square! Guests of all ages are invited to celebrate the ghoulish holiday with live entertainment from Sir Crazy Pants, plenty of sweet treats, BOOze for the adults from the Sunshine Alchemy alcohol truck, and more. Scare on The Square will be held at The Plaza immediately following the Primrose School of Midtown’s “Parade of Costumes.”

Halloween Night on Callanwolde Mountain - Oct. 27 at 6pm
Callanwolde is being transformed for its third annual Halloween Night on Callanwolde Mountain event. Upon entrance, guests will be given a map of the fully decorated estate with directions to trick-or-treating spots, games with candy prizes, and art activities.In Callanwolde’s magnificent Tudor-Revival Candler Mansion, catch live performances by the Callanwolde Concert Band, The Callanwolde Choir, and Atlanta Braves organist Matthew Kaminski, a LEGOLand Discovery Center building station, movie screenings by Atlanta Film Society, and surprise performances by the Callanwolde School of Dance’s performance group, Prime Movers. The night will be capped off with an all-ages dance party and costume contest (with big prizes!) led by J&M Sound Design DJ.
Cost: $5 advance, $10 at door. Kids 2 & under are free.

Haunted Sandy Springs - Oct. 27 from 7pm to 10:30pm
A night of eerie entertainment and education. This FREE public event begins at the Williams-Payne House Garden Room (lower level of the Heritage Sandy Springs Museum) where guests can enjoy live music, psychic readings, fire pit & s’mores bar, and a special screening of Hocus Pocus. Food and beverages (including some “spirits”) will be available for purchase. Earn a free beverage by coming in full costume! Haunted tours also for a fee.

Owl-O-Ween Hot Air Ballon Festival at KSU - Oct 27 & 28
Friday from 6pm to 11pm and Saturday from 4pm to 11pm. Get your tickets in advance! As night falls, 20+ hot air balloons provide the beautiful glowing backdrop for this visually stunning autumn event. Seven Stages, Balloon Glows, Tethered Balloon Rides, and more than 120+ Performing Artists thrill audiences throughout the park. Revelers of all ages are encouraged to go all out and join in the costume catwalk party. Prizes are awarded for best costumes, but the real fun is just to see and be seen. Local Restaurants, Artists, Live Bands, a Craft Beer Garden, Sports Bar, and Tito’s Handmade Vodka lounge, are all part of the fun for the adults. Brick-or-Treat at Legoland Discovery Center Atlanta - Oct.  28, 29
Select Saturdays and Sundays in October, children can enjoy a “find the pumpkins” MINILAND scavenger hunt and pumpkin build classes in the Master Builder Academy to place in the LEGO® pumpkin patch! College Football Hall of Fame -  Haunted Hall of Fame Family Event Oct.  28, 29
Guests will delight in the Field of Screams and enjoy a spooky scavenger hunt, complete with candy cauldrons, while touring the Hall’s haunted hallways. Fans dressed in costumes, ages 12 and under, will receive free admission into the Hall, and each fan will receive a two-sided card with the scavenger hunt details and a trick or treat bag from the box office. Fans will have the opportunity to trick or treat throughout the building, as well as have their face painted on the Playing Field

It’s that time of year when Atlanta’s favorite fun family Halloween festival returns! Sample treats throughout the Zoo, and enjoy the sights, characters and adventures of the whimsical Zoo Boo Town on four magical days with more than 1,000 animals from around the world. Don’t forget your costume!

Atlanta History Center Day of the Dead - Oct. 29 from 12pm to 5pm
Visitors of all ages will learn about and experience a Day of the Dead Festival, presented in partnership with the Consul General of Mexico and the Institute of Mexican Culture. Guests enjoy traditional dancing, crafts, and authentic Mexican food and entertainment. This is a free admission day at Atlanta History Center. Guests are invited to enjoy the outdoor festival, and if time permits, to continue their free day adventures with a variety of offerings, from exploring signature and traveling exhibitions to historic house experiences and strolls through beautiful gardens and down trails. Food and drinks will be available for purchase.

For one day every year, Fernbank Museum becomes Fernbank BOO-sueum! Follow the screams (of delight) to a day of frightening-ly fun Halloween-themed activities including treats for kids in costume, games, music and more.
