We survived the few days of school...and the kids did too. Jack started kindergarten and acts as though not a thing has changed - even riding the bus doesn't seem to be a big deal to him (although he say he likes it!). Drew no longer wants me to come to his classroom - I might try to kiss him and embarrass him! The last two mornings have been challenging. Jack's excited about school, but still won't get out of bed, until Drew goes in, turns the lights on and pulls off all his covers. I have to say it's pretty cute. At least someone is taking charge!
Even though the kids were in camp most of the summer, it still seems unusually quiet around here. Maybe that's just because I'm up so early (by my standards). Hopefully I can start being productive in the early mornings, so I can enjoy afternoons with the kids. Or should I say, doing homework with the kids.
So these few days are a trial run. Monday it gets serious. And some more of you will have kids starting school. Good luck!
For someone who is used to staying up til around 1am most nights, I'm ready for bed! So I'm keeping this short and sweet.
