Get crafty this holiday season with Kiwi Crate (KiwiCrate.com), the creativity company for kids aged 3-7 that delivers crates containing all of the necessary materials for inspiring, educational and fun projects right to the doorstep of busy parents.
Kiwi Crate has both 1) a monthly subscription service and 2) Celebration Shop where individual crates can be purchased.
The December crate, the first crate in a subscription gifted for the holidays, is entitled Antarctic Adventure. Designed to encourage multi-faceted hands-on learning, the crate includes 3 activities: Penguin Bowling, Aurora Painting, and Ice Experiments.
Kiwi Crate has also developed a new line of three holiday-related crates for their Celebration Shop, which celebrates special occasions throughout the year. Each of these crates can be purchased individually:
• The Crafty Christmas crate includes all the materials and inspiration to create 3 Paint Swirl Ornaments and a cardboard Gingerbread House. This crate is $19.95.
• Projects in the Handmade Hanukkah crate include a menorah they make themselves as well as dreidel spin art. The crate is $19.95 and includes 9 LED tea lights.
• From the Gifts Made by Me crate, which is $19.95, kids can make 2 decorated journals as gifts, 4 greeting cards, and their own wrapping. Kids engage in a fun print-making technique to bring the gifts to life.
We received the Handmade Hanukkah crate to review. I had good intentions of doing the projects while on our trip to Washington D.C., but when I saw the spin art, I decided it would be best done at our own house just in time for the actual Hanukkah holiday next week! So, we've pulled out all the pieces and instructions and are ready to go. My boys are super excited to try the spin art!
My Dreidel Spin Art includes everything you need to create beautiful patterns using a spinning dreidel and paint! Teach your kids the game of dreidel and what the Hebrew letters stand for while doing this fun craft. (I appreciate the game instructions too!).
The crate also contains a My Menorah project. Use paste and tissue paper to create a beautiful menorah! The kit includes LED candles, so just flip a switch each night on the candles you want to light (no risk of kids burning their fingers).
Hanukah begins on Saturday, Dec. 8th. It's not too late to order your Kiwi Crate today!
