Frog and Toad hop back onstage for the holiday season! Synchronicity’s production of A Year with Frog and Toad brings Arnold Lobel’s beloved characters to life in a whimsical and irresistible retelling for audiences of all ages. The cheerful Frog and rather grumpy Toad may get hopping mad at each other sometimes, but their friendship sees them through a year of adventures, from growing seeds to sledding down a hill at breakneck speed.
Nominated for three 2003 Tony Awards, including Best Musical, A Year With Frog and Toad is an ode to friendship that weathers the seasons. Winner of 4 lauded Suzi Bass Awards including best musical and best director of a musical (Clint Thornton).
I’m very happy to share that the Synchronicity Theatre’s production of A Year with Frog and Toad was LOVED by my entire family. The charming musical perfectly captured Frog and Toad’s adventures year. The cast seamlessly compiles multiple “Frog and Toad” stories into one full piece. We see the two friends celebrate each others differences that make them uniquely special. The stories included Toad not wanting to be seen in a bathing suit, snail trying to deliver a letter to Toad written by Frog, Frog retelling an old ghost story, and so many more! A Year with Frog and Toad was jazzy, fun, and made my entire family laugh!
