It's hard to believe it's time for another edition of Macaroni Kid.
So - my personal prediction of a huge snowfall was pretty off base! However, here in East Cobb we did get plenty of ice. My kids weren't terribly disappointed since they still managed to do some sledding...and they were out of school for a few days too, much to the chagrin of many working parents. At least it was pretty here (see photo). This white stuff is all a memory now, as temps hit 70 degrees today. Maybe it's time to start thinking about spring break? 
If you're staying in town this holiday weekend, this edition of BMB Macaroni Kid should provide you with plenty of ideas for fun things to do. It's going to be warmer - but Snow Mountain at Stone Mountain Park WILL be open if you want to try sledding again. And you can always go ice skating at one of several rinks around town (Atlantic Station, Park Tavern at Piedmont Park, Centennial Olympic Park, Avalon in Alpharetta).
We just returned from seeing "Disney's The Little Mermaid" at the Fox Theatre, and it was such a treat! The show is only playing through Sunday, so get your tickets while you still can. More info is in the article below.
