Each day High Touch High Tech campers will enjoy 270 minutes of degreed professional instructor-led hands-on experiments. Have a BLAST at SCIENCE and STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Art and Mathematics) camp this summer launching rockets, programming and building Lego robots, erupting volcanoes, touring the Earth with virtual reality and MORE! Full S.T.E.A.M. Ahead - Science, Technology, Engineering, Art & Math (Rising 1st/2nd, Rising 3rd/4th, and Rising 5th/6th Graders)
Grouped by age (rising 1st/2nd, 3rd/4th, and 5th-6th), campers will explore Science, Engineering, Art and Technology with integrated Mathematics in each area. Engineer, design and build structures of all kinds and test it to withstand weight and weather in our Maker’s room! Build and take home a model hoverboard, Make and take home an air compressed rocket and get splashed with our water rockets. Get up close and personal with frog guts as we dissect a Frog. See what an owl ate for dinner as you dissect an owl pellet and keep the bones! Microscopes, microslides, DNA models, Cells, genetic experiments, animal kingdom activities and more all make biology come to life in the science room. Put your game face on as you enter the Game Theory room where games have never been so much fun as when we combine it with math and science! Experiment with different angles, and force to measure the trajectory of our rubber band cannons and visit TECH LAB with LEGO WeDo™ and Mindstorm EV3™ Robotics, Bloxels™ video game design, Virtual Reality, Tablet apps, laptops, circuits, dash and dot, Hotwheels™, Hexbugs™ and more!
Alphabet Soup Science (Rising 1st/2nd Graders)
From Air pressure To Zeppelins, the alphabet is our guide for FUN science experiments. Can you put your finger through a bubble without popping it? Can you splash water using only sound energy? YOU CAN AT SCIENCE CAMP! Build your very own catapult to take home. Have a BLAST launching water rockets, digging for dinosaurs, making F5 tornadoes, exploring with magnets and worms! Oobleck chemistry, Parachutes and more: Activities with life, physical and earth science keep small hands busy all week long. Kool and Krazy Science (Rising 3rd/4th Graders)
Roll up your sleeves and get ready to mix, build, brew and goo all kinds of crazy concoctions & contraptions. Explore electrical engineering with a variety of circuits and build your own electromagnet. Cure your chemical curiosity with dry ice, color-changing and luminescent (glowing) reactions. Use Legos to better understand chemistry, gravity and friction. Learn about mechanics and complete our building challenges. Stay ‘KOOL’ launching water rockets and making fake snow! Science Over the Edge (Rising 5th/6th/7th Graders)
Test the limits of how much FUN you can have in one week! Start and end the week off with a BANG, a chemical Bang that is… Discover how fast you can see while making your own stop motion clay cartoon. Learn about chemical kinetics and reaction rates while you make a chemical reaction speed up or slow down conducting chemical eruptions. Gape in AMAZEMENT as you make silver appear out of clear liquid!
