PRUMC 25th Anniversary Great Day of Service is Saturday, March 25

Family-Friendly Volunteer Opportunities Available - Register Today!

March 18, 2017

Macaroni Kid readers looking for a last minute family friendly volunteer opportunity can chip in at the 25th Anniversary Great Day of Service on Saturday, March 25. A handful of slots remain available to join more than 1,000 volunteers engaged by Peachtree Road United Methodist Church (PRUMC) who will tackle dozens of neighborhood community service projects across Metro Atlanta.

Kid-friendly volunteer assignments (for ages five and older) include filling food boxes for at risk children at Feed The Hungry, filling snack bags for kids at Redemption Community United Methodist Church, building birthday kits for children served by Action Ministries, writing or designing celebration cards for kids of Moving In The Spirit, and stuffing Homeless At Heart boxes. Kids ages eight and older can bowl with families of Jerusalem House or help with yardwork at the home of a low income widow.

The Great Day of Service is PRUMC’s annual community volunteer day. At this favorite outreach event, all ages put their faith in action as they serve those in need across Atlanta.
