Atlanta History Center Sheep Hang Up Their Winter Coats As the Weather Warms

March 31, 2017

THIS GIVEAWAY IS NOW CLOSED - CONGRATS TO BRITTANY J.

Starting with sheep needing to shed their fluffy winter coats, the time-tested rural crafts tradition of cloth making comes to vivid life in the heart of the city during the Atlanta History Center program Sheep to Shawl on Saturday, April 8, 2017, from 10:30 AM until 4:30 PM.

The annual family program explores the cloth making process through demonstrations and activities ranging from sheep shearing and dyeing to spinning and weaving. Gather the entire family for a full day of fun that also includes open hearth cooking, blacksmithing, candle making, and more at the 1860s Smith Family Farm.
