On the second Sunday of each month, the High Museum of Art offers free admission and special family-friendly programming from 1 to 4 p.m. Families from across the Atlanta Metro area are invited to join the High for a day filled with surprises for even the youngest of arts enthusiast. Each month has a special theme connected to the Museum’s special exhibitions and permanent collection.
The event series offerings include everything from a Baby Steps: Infant Tour for the tiniest visitors to an Art Movers workshop where families are encouraged to get moving in the galleries. Families can also expect story times, sing-a-longs, art-making workshops and even a drop-in, family-inspired yoga class.

“For many years the High periodically offered free admission days, but this generous grant from the Lettie Pate Evans Foundation allows us to offer free admission and expanded family programming every month,” said Virginia Shearer, Eleanor McDonald Storza Director of Education at the High. “The ability to open our doors to the entire Atlanta community and provide interactive, enriching experiences for all fulfills a key part of our mission.”
