September 8 is Second Sunday at High Museum of Art - FREE Admission!

On the second Sunday of each month, the High Museum of Art offers free admission and special family-friendly programming from 1 to 4 p.m. Families from across the Atlanta Metro area are invited to join the High for a day filled with surprises for even the youngest of arts enthusiasts. Each month has a special theme connected to the Museum’s special exhibitions and permanent collection. The event series includes activities ranging from tours for the tiniest visitors to an Art Movers workshop where families are encouraged to get moving in the galleries. Families can also expect storytimes, sing-a-longs, art-making workshops and more. *Please note: Admission is free from 12 noon to 5 p.m. Programming takes place from 1 to 4 p.m.

International Dance Zone – African Dance
1, 2, 3 p.m.

Robinson Atrium
Engage in African Dance with Mama Yeye and Baba Tony while wearing a UNICEF Kid Power Band. Earn points by being active with your kid power band and start helping children in need. Experience the power of getting active and saving lives.
*This activity is a part of Alliance Theatre’s Family Day with UNICEF, U.S.A.

The Greene Family Learning Gallery is open on a first-come, first-served basis on Second Sundays. We limit the number of visitors to keep play safe and fun for everyone. Join the lines for the CREATE and EXPERIENCE rooms by 4pm.

The Pursuit of Everything: Maira Kalman's Books for Children, is a colorful exhibition at the High Museum of Art exploring the extensive catalog of Maira Kalman’s imaginative stories and illustrations, which have delighted readers of all ages for more than 30 years.
