City of Brookhaven Pools Open May 29

May 27, 2021

Splish, splash, and keep cool this summer at one of the City of Brookhaven’s municipal pools.

Murphey Candler Park and Briarwood Park Pook will open for the summer on Saturday, May 29, and will be open for specified hours daily through Sept. 6.

Pool Locations in Brookhaven

  • Murphey Candler Park, 1551 W, Nancy Creek Drive
  • Briarwood Park, 2235 Briarwood Way NE
  • Lynwood Park, 3360 Osborne Road NE

The Briarwood pool renovation was the first major City construction project utilizing a portion of the $40 million Park Bond capital improvement funds. The $3.5 million upgrade features a 75-foot long six-lane competition section and a “cool surface” pool deck featuring a new pavilion, bleachers, and umbrellas for shade.

Due to a newly discovered maintenance issue, Lynwood Park pool opening will be delayed at least a week and will not open this Memorial Day weekend. We anticipate the pool to open by next weekend, and will send out another notice once the opening date is determined.***
