The Brookhaven Food Truck Roundup returns to Blackburn Park, 3493 Ashford Dunwoody Road, on a new day and with a new name. The first of the Food Truck Fridays three-date series takes place Friday, April 11, 6-9 p.m., and will continue as a monthly event on the second Friday of the month in May and June. Find the action at the north end of the park near the Blackburn Pavilion, bordering the playground.
“I look forward to kicking off the weekend with a community event and invite everyone to enjoy the diverse food truck offerings, live entertainment and activities in beautiful Blackburn Park,” said District 1 Council Member Michael Diaz. “Moving the event to Fridays is great news as it allows for families to enjoy the evening without the pressure of school and work the next day.”
The monthly event will feature food truck vendors, beer and wine available for purchase, live music entertainment, and free activities for kids, including a bounce house, face painting, and giant bubbles. Seating is available at the pavilion, but attendees are encouraged to bring picnic blankets and lawn chairs. Leashed pets are welcome.
