Georgia Shakespeare will hold camps this summer for both elementary school-aged children and teens. Descriptions of both programs are below!

Camp Descriptions:

Such Stuff: Camp Shakespeare

Organization: Georgia Shakespeare
Dates: June 16-June 27 & June 30- July 11, 9am-3pm
Ages: Elementary
Cost: $500 per 2-week session (Ages 8-12)
Description:
Available for students in grades 2nd-6th. Participants enter the wonderful world of theatre and discover one of the world’s greatest writers. Using theatre games, improvisation arts, acting exercises, arts and crafts and a whole lot of imagination, campers learn the basics of theatrical performance while having a great time. Participants present a special performance on the final day for friends and family. Session 1 (June 16 - June 27) will focus on A Comedy of Errors and Much Ado About Nothing. Session II (June 30 - July 11) will focus on Romeo and Juliet and Macbeth.



Georgia Shakespeare High School Conservatory

Cost: $500 (Ages: all teens)
Description:
Available to high school students who wish to further focus on their training as an actor. A two-week intensive opportunity to work with members of Georgia Shakespeare’s acting company and other Atlanta professional artists in the areas of voice and text, movement, monologue, and scene work. In addition, Master Classes are offered in stage combat and audition technique. As part of the Conservatory, participants will learn one Shakespearean monologue and one scene to be performed for friends and family on the mainstage of the Conant Performing Arts Center on the final day.
