Synchronicity hosted my family on opening night to see A Year with Frog and Toad. We've been wanting to see this show for a while. We were so excited the stars aligned for us to attend on PJ night! It was so cute to see kids and the young at heart donning their cute holiday favorite character PJs and waiting patiently with their cookies for the show to start.
You're missing out if you have not been to Synchronicity Theatre's productions! This theatre company produces some fantastic shows, A Year with Frog and Toad, is no exception! This endearing performance features the friendship between two beloved amphibians with opposite personalities. Matt Baum (Frog) and Juan Carlos Unzueta (Toad), bring their characters to life on stage, full of heart, energy, and catchy musical tunes! The intimate theatre setting transforms into a vibrant enchanting forest. All the characters had us laughing out loud and empathizing as they emote through the scenes. One of our favorite characters was Snail, played by Elliott Folds. I won't spoil it for you!

A Year with Frog and Toad follows these loveable characters through a year of their friendship–from hibernation to growing seeds to the swimming hole to leaf raking and a quiet holiday night. A Year with Frog and Toad is directed and music directed by Amanda Wansa Morgan with assistant music direction by John Lumapas, and choreography by Lyndsay Brown. The cast includes Atlanta-based actors Matt Baum as Frog, Juan Carlos Unzueta as Toad, Elliott Folds as Bird/Snail, Taryn Janelle as Bird/Mouse, and Sarah Joyce Hack as Bird/Turtle.
The understudy/swing performers include Quinn Conrath (Snail, Toad), Jude Hilton (Frog), Courtney Loner (Bird/Turtle), and Coriana Raynor (Bird/Mouse). Designers include Ryan Bradburn (set), Nicole Clockel (costumes), Tom Priester (lights), and Courtney Loner (props).
